Believe it or not, this vision of New York in 1980 is from 1930's Just Imagine; the film that in one stroke managed to both launch and kill the science fiction musical comedy.  And a good thing too.  The model of New York is actually very impressive and touches like the helicopter aeroplanes that have replaced cars seem to have some real thought behind them, but the treaclely  songs and ghastly jokes about vending machine babies make its relative obscurity well  deserved.
