What's this? A film with not one, but two
kinds of spacesuits? C'est incroyable! Perhaps not.
There is a certain logic to these Moonsuits. Outer space and
the lunar surface are two very different places and the idea of
specialised suits is something that NASA has been playing with for
decades. After all, who needs heavy boots in zero gravity and
who needs reaction motors on the Moon? One thing the two
designs do share in Moon Zero Two are standardised
life-support packs that attach to the suit with snap-on
points/inlets that any modern engineer would envy. They also
have air bottles so small that they must contain liquid oxygen to be
any use.Hopefully there's a good
preheater in the loop or frostbitten lungs on the menu.
