It was at this point
that Hawkeye discovered that the Chippewa were more
advanced than many people thought.
This
is a beautiful example of genre bleed; a malady peculiar to science
fiction. Why is it that sci-fi is forever succumbing to the
temptation to regurgitate stories that are sci-fi noir, sci-fi horror,
sci-fi westerns, sci-fi mysteries, and sci-fi comedy of manners.
The only thing missing is sci-fi happy fluffy fun bunnies, which I
wouldn't put past them. I mean, you don't see Horatio Hornblower
mysteries, or western horror, or happy fluffy fun bunny noir.
Unless you're talking Jonathan Creek, that is. |
