But the real test of rover
development would be the Mark II intended for the first expedition to
Mars. Here we see one of the most famous as showcased in
Colliers magazine. It has everything the Mars-bound camper could
possibly want from a caravan to carry supplies and the electric
batteries to power the vehicle, an incredibly cramped driver's cabin
that the dealer calls "sporty" and a spherical work/living space that
is clearly designed for the contortionist who enjoys sleeping in a
crawl space.
Note the chap on the right who's
trying to figure out why the hell the thing won't start. |
