You can't beat a classic design.  Above is a spaceship as designed by Hermann Oberth in 1927 and below is one by Darrell Romick from 1950.  Okay, one uses hydrogen and alcohol rockets and the other is larger and uses linear accelerators and "standard" atomic rockets, but the family resemblance is striking.
