say that generals always prepare for the last war. Given what
the next war looked like back in the December 1921 issue of
Popular Science, perhaps that was for the best. If the
radio-dirigibles raining down incendiaries and poison gas didn't get
you, the giant tanks and death rays would.
It seems hardly worth leaving
your underground bunker in you gas armour in the morning. |
