Hugo Gernsback, who owned and edited the magazines that ran most of Paul's work, had a fascination with Martians that went back to 1924 and which he would revisit time and again over the next forty years. This 1939 version by Paul is the best of the lot. The Martian not only has a credibility about him, he looks positively laid back.
